I know how you feel. I had a JD 4200 Hydro ordered back in April but canceled the order about 3 week ago becouse the JD would not be delevered untill sometime in September. I purchased a Kubota L 3010 HST and LOVE the tractor, the hydro trans in the Kubota is GREAT!! Best of luck to you. ....

I think the folks @ JD have their head up their ---. They finally come out w/ a tractor of the 90's (although their manufacturer, YANMAR, had it 15 years ago), and they fall flat on their face getting it out to the public that has already plunked their money down on it. Imagine their stock if they delivered all they had orders for? This must really p.o. the shareholders. Unfortunatley, JD has the mindset that if you are worthy of the green, willing to pay the green $$,you must be refined enough to have the patience to wait for it. Tell this to an irate, no longer a soon to be owner of the green with a face of brite red. (not me, I wouldn't own one, but Ive sold enough other colors to those who wanted to own a green one) ....

I am amazed at the comments about the John Deere slow delivery. Unless you are DeBoers and have cornered the market on diamonds, you don't run a business by not selling your product. I am sure that John Deere would like to sell every tractor they can and they know they are losing to the competition if they don't. They obviously didn't anticipate the desire for the new line they developed. Nor would they have been smart to guess they would sell 50,000 and therefore make 100,000 just in case. Nor would it make sense to build another factory just in case. I am also sure the stockholders realize an oportunity is being missed here also but not much more can be done other than produce what they can and try to placate the angry customers that desire the 4000 series. ....

I'm glad to see at least one guy knows how business works!Droz is exactly right. I can't believe how upset and rediculous some people have become over this. NO different than every Christmas, When you have that one special toy that everyone has to have, and eventually peopleare fighting over that last ones. I guess that means that every toy manuf's alsohave their head up their a^&!! What about a Farmer? Does he have his head up his A#$ whenyou want to buy more hay, and he runs out? What do you do? you either have to GO SOMEWHERE ELSE or WAIT. Guess he should have invested his life saving, so ensure your happiness. And Why aren't you doing something useful and complain about all the crap that ends up in a landfill, because a manufacture pre-build stuff to meet the anticipated demand, and no-one bought it!!STOP making things so complicated. Your choice is simple, wait or buy something else!!All your negative comments aren't going to change a damn thing. And if it bothersyou so much, spend a few million in stocks, so that YOUR business stratigy and money can be spent, in hopes that profits can recover the initial investment. Amazinghow easy it is to be an armchair quarterback! ....
